In 2008, an important and enological research project was launched in Belguardo to valorise Vermentino. With the 2021 harvest, a further leap in quality takes place in the estate history: from Codice V to Belguardo V Maremma Toscana DOC Vermentino Superiore.

The Vermentino with capital "V"!

Belgurado's character is well-expressed by the "star" symbol (Icosahedron Elevatus) draw by Leonardo da Vinci for the book "De Divina Proportione", written by Fra Luca Pacioli (1497). It was chosen as logo of the Estate.

A symbol that tells perfection in the complexity of the elements.

 

The Icosahedron Elevatus  in its "Vacua" (empty) version represents the quintessence of prospective, precision, harmony. Therefore, the aestetic perfection that inspires Belguardo V

Vermentino Superiore

Belguardo V 2021 finds its ideal dimension in the new "Vermentino Superiore" category, thanks to the edit of the Maremma Toscana DOC specification that has just been approved and strongly willed by Francesco Mazzei, President of the Consorzio Tutela Vini Maremma Toscana.

The purpose of the "Superiore" is to better characterize and enhance a succesfull wine such as Vermentino di Maremma, allocating the top production to a higher market segment (premiumization), for the benefit of the entire denomination.
